The BBC is proposing to significantly reduce its local radio broadcasting. The proposal's would see BBC Radio Stoke retain just its weekday breakfast and mid-morning shows and then from 2pm it would share programmes from other parts of the Midlands. On the weekend it would share programmes from other parts of the West Midlands and then on Sundays after 2pm there would be just one programme covering the whole of England.
The new proposed schedule will look like this:
