I am delighted to have won the Patchwork Foundation Newcomer MP of the Year Award this evening. My motto is "Putting People before Politics" and that's why this award is an honour that I will treasure forever.
One of the joys of my role as a Member of Parliament is enabling large conversations that
build resilience and empower communities, ensuring that the voices of the most vulnerable are at the forefront.
I am proud to stand up for young people, child safety, access to healthy food and sustainability in the community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with all
the wonderful people that make Stoke-on-Trent such a special place.
