I was pleased to have the opportunity to join the Brighter Futures rough sleepers team on an outreach shift this morning to see how the team supports rough sleepers in Stoke-on-Trent.
On our morning walkabout to offer support and check on the welfare of people sleeping rough in the city centre, I spoke with some of the city’s most vulnerable to hear their stories firsthand.
Homelessness is one of the most awful situations that a person can face and it is often the case that very sad circumstances have led to people sleeping rough.
Brighter Futures provide the support that is so desperately needed by some of the city’s most vulnerable and I have the greatest respect for their efforts.
