I visited Hanley Police Station to see their surrender bin which provides a legal and safe way to surrender knives and bladed items including kitchen knives that you no longer need.
Over 100 bladed items were surrendered into this bin last month, it's a good sign that people are dropping these off as it's one less potentially dangerous weapon on the street.
