This morning, I have written to the Managing Director of First Buses to express my deep concern upon reading this week that First Buses has decided to implement significant cuts to bus services across Stoke-on-Trent.
I have received a number of emails from constituents who have raised major concerns regarding the reduction and in some cases the cancellation of services all together which leaves them without access to the local buses they rely on to travel around Stoke-on-Trent.
I have always believed that the people of Stoke-on-Trent deserve public transport that is not only efficient and affordable but also operates seven days a week and I will continue to push for this level of service that residents deserve.
