I attended the Guide Dogs UK Open Doors campaign event, which brought attention to a concerning issue that over 80% of guide dog owners have faced the distressing situation of being refused entry to businesses or services solely because of their guide dog.
During the event, I had the opportunity to speak to Peter and hear about the issues he has encountered as a guide dog owner. His story served as a stark reminder that, in most cases, refusing a working guide or other assistance dog is likely to be unlawful.
