I recently spent an afternoon with April from Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID as part of Independents' Day UK where we celebrate everything brilliant about Britain's independent businesses. We visited The Unicorn Inn, Card Planet, Crafty Sox Handmade, Dappled Sky, Jules Handmade Jewellery, Grace & Flo, Supplement Junction, Aroma obsession Hanley, C J Skelhorne Jewellers, LongRest Boardgame Bar and Cafe, Rubber Soul Records, Slice Lounge, Bloom Hanley, and the Gin Rummy Bar & Kitchen.
It was great to see how the businesses were doing and listen to any concerns they had. Independent businesses bring so much to our local communities so go and support yours this weekend - and all year-round!
