Introducing 𝐄𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞 - the new name for the redevelopment of the former East-West Precinct site in the city centre.
In the 2021 Autumn budget, the Chancellor allocated £56 million of government cash from the Levelling Up Fund to Stoke-on-Trent following funding bids by Jack Brereton MP, Jonathan Gullis MP, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and myself.
£20 million has been allocated for the City Centre Regeneration Area which will see:
3,600 capacity arena
285 high-quality homes
82,000 sq ft of commercial space
A 138-bed hotel
701-space multi-storey car park
The Levelling Up money shows that the government absolutely understands the investment needed in Stoke-on-Trent.
